Sumake Air Ratchet Hi-Lok Wrench
The Sumake Air Ratchet Hi-Lok Wrench Installation Tool is designed for the installation of Hi-Lok Fasteners which consist of a threaded pin and a self locking threaded collar, widely used in the Aerospace Industry for structural assemblies.
Two-part design: A Hi-Lok consists of a threaded pin and a self-locking threaded collar.
- The pin: This is the threaded bolt-like component. One end has a recessed hexagonal shape (an Allen key socket) to hold it stationary during installation. The other end has a head, which comes in both protruding and countersunk styles depending on whether the application is optimized for shear (sideways) or tension (pulling) loads.
- The collar: This is the self-locking nut that is threaded onto the pin. It has an integrated wrenching device that shears off automatically once the proper torque is reached.
