The Microstrip is a range of tools designed for stripping fine wire (18-32 AWG) and fibre optic cables and comes with interchangeable blades and guides to eliminate the need to purchase a separate tool for each different cable. Several options are offered to suit a variety of applications and all deliver ultra precise stripping:

MS-1-FS For Buffered Fibres - this tool will strip buffered fibre up to 2360µm quickly and easily and also comes supplied as a kit which includes the standard handle assembly and a range of cutter blades and fibre guides. If preferred these tools can be individually fitted for your cable.

MS-4B-E Soft Stripping Tools - This tool has an integral heating element to enable them to soften and strip insulations such as Mylene, Kapton, Teflon, PVC and Hytrel. The Soft-Strip system permits precise stripping of these tough coatings with less than 3lbs of peak pulling force for multi-fibre ribbon and less than 1lb for single fibre. The result is no fibre damage and quality splices and connections. Units are available for optical fibre (180 - 1000µm) and all standard multi-fibre ribbons.  This tool is AA battery operated for field work and a AA NiMH battery re-charger is also available. This tool is available in a Kit as well as individually to cater for stripping of all common optical fibre sizes.

We recommend that a cable sample is sent in so that we can assess the blade set and guide size required and set up the tool.
